Individual Therapy For Adults and Teens*
I specialize in working with men and women struggling with negative symptoms of trauma, various anxiety disorders, difficult life transitions and grief. Utilizing EMDR and CBT as my primary treatment modalities when working with clients, I also incorporate Attachment Theory, Psychoanalysis and Mindfulness techniques.
*I also work with teens ages 16+ on a maturity basis only.
What Are the Benefits of EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that mimics REM, or the rapid eye movement we experience during sleep. Originated by Francine Shapiro, PhD, EMDR is thought to help people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress caused by disturbing life experiences.
I believe that EMDR can be an efficient and effective technique. Treatment occurs in eight phases to help clients work through past memories and current stressors. It also prepares clients for future encounters that may feel daunting.

End of Life and Grief Work
After working in the field of hospice, end of life care became something very dear to me. I have extensive experience working with the elderly population and those facing life’s final days as well as the family members who are forced to pick up the pieces once their loved ones are gone. If you or a loved one are on hospice care, or facing life threatening disabilities or illnesses, I am here to help.
Mindfulness & CBT
Along with EMDR, I also apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness to my work. With a warm, relational approach, I use psychoanalytic research and attachment theory to help my clients gain tools for their present relationships as they work through some of the pain of their past.
